NitroDesk Brings Credential Management and Encryption to Android with Echoworx Security Cloud
New Partnership Legitimizes Android for the Enterprise Market
Atlanta, GA, February 14, 2012 – Echoworx, a leading provider of credential management and managed encryption services, has partnered with NitroDesk, Inc. a developer of the TouchDown™ email client, to deliver enterprise-grade credential management and encryption for Android devices.
NitroDesk is adding the Echoworx Security Cloud capability to its offerings to enable public key infrastructure (PKI) functionality and to support the rapid adoption of Android devices for business use, as Touchdown users will now be able to send and receive encrypted messages on their Android device.
“This relationship legitimizes Android for the enterprise customer,” says Ron Goins, Chief Operating Officer for NitroDesk. “Many corporations are embracing BYOD (bring your own device) and the reality is a large proportion of new devices sold are Android. The Echoworx Security Cloud will play a big part in extending the security model we have already built into TouchDown making Android use in the workplace a non-issue.”
According to Michael Ginsberg, Chief Executive Officer, Echoworx, “This is a major breakthrough for companies like NitroDesk. Rather than running their own PKI, they simply plug into ours and get all the security they need. Whatever people are using – whether it’s the TouchDown email client or any application that requires a password – it is clear that organizations need stronger forms of credential management to protect corporate usage and data.” Continue reading
Echoworx Security Cloud Now Accessible to All
New Offering Enables Instant Implementation of Credential Management and Encryption Integration across All Platforms
Atlanta, GA, February 6, 2012 – Echoworx, a leading provider of credential management and managed encryption services for complete email and data protection opens its Security Cloud to the industry at large. For the first time ever, this world class PKI Infrastructure can be accessed by MDMs (mobile device management), MEAPs (mobile enterprise application platforms), cloud services, and other organizations. They simply plug into the cloud to enable PKI (public key infrastructure) integration over multiple platforms and devices.
“Just like organizations are tapping into the cloud for storage services and file sharing services, they can now do the same for credential management,” says Michael Ginsberg, CEO. “Whether the point of access is an exchange server, email, mobile device or cloud service, in today’s world there is clearly a need to issue user credentials to protect data across multiple forms and operating systems.”
Pushing credentials over-the-air, within a mobile or enterprise application without having to set up and manage an in-house PKI infrastructure is what the industry is asking for, adds Ginsberg. “We’ve already done the heavy lifting; the rest is simply plug-and-play.”
Many applications today support encryption but they stop short of managing credentials. Echoworx builds a bridge between its Security Cloud PKI infrastructure and enterprise applications eliminating the need for customers to develop individual credential management and encryption solutions.
Developers can use the Echoworx Developer Kit to access web services and manage user credentials directly from within their own applications. The Kit includes tools, documentation and sample source code for instant implementation, resulting in world class credential management and encryption security services.
Echoworx will be available to discuss how you can get access to the Security Cloud in the main concourse at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, Feb 27 – March 2, 2012. To set up a meeting please contact Sharon Miller at miller@echoworx.com Continue reading
