Market Regulation Services Inc. Chooses Echoworx Encrypted Message eXchange (EMX) for Market Participants

TORONTO, Canada – Market Regulation Services Inc. (RS), announced today it has chosen Echoworx EMX to exchange encrypted messages and attachments with market participants. RS is the independent regulation services provider for Canadian equity marketplaces, including: The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX); TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V), Canadian Trading and Quotation System (CNQ), including its "Pure Trading" facility; Bloomberg Tradebook Canada Company; Liquidnet Canada Inc.; Perimeter Markets Inc. (BlockBook^TM); and Triact (MATCH Now^TM). RS will provide access to EMX, a secure collaborative portal where large communities of disparate users can exchange digitally signed and encrypted messages.

RS' mandate is to ensure investor confidence and market integrity. EMX helps RS fulfill this mandate by providing a communications channel between RS and market participants to ensure information is protected against unauthorized modification or interception. EMX provides RS with audit reporting which delivers a quick and easy way to track filing of highly confidential information like Short Position Reporting, Alert Notifications, and Gatekeeper Reports.

About EMX

Echoworx Encrypted Message Exchange is a secure web-based service that enables members to exchange encrypted PKI-based messages and attachments through a secure SSL/TLS web interface. EMX Members have the ability to receive, reply, forward and store their encrypted messages and attachments. A simple web registration is required to become an EMX member. Once the EMX member is registered, they are assigned individual private keys, which will authenticate them each time they access EMX. Each member has a personal EMX inbox. Members receive email notifications each time they receive an encrypted message. Upon receipt of a message, members click "open message", and are taken directly to the EMX secure website. Members authenticate themselves by entering their email address and password information. The EMX service is licensed on a per user subscription basis to companies that want to ensure the privacy of their digital communications amongst a closed user community.
