Encryption

Encrypted Files and Folders gives organizations the power to enforce encryption across all confidential information, whether it resides on a laptop, network drive or removable USB key.

Secure access to these encrypted documents can then be shared with individuals or groups across the organization including finance, human resources, etc. without compromising the organization’s privacy policies and procedures.

Strict security measures are put in place to ensure that unauthorized activity, such as copying a file to a USB key, is prevented and a “restricted” pop up message notifies the user.

Administration Console

The administrator uses a powerful administration console to set, review and customize the organization’s privacy policies ensuring confidential content is automatically encrypted. For example, polices can be set to:

Automatically encrypt data on an employee’s computer
Encrypt all office documents
Encrypt all files stored in selected public folders

Administration console features include:

Add and remove users
Encrypt by folder i.e. "my documents"
Encrypt by file types i.e. .pptx, docx, .xlsx
Exclude file types so they are never encrypted i.e. .mp3 or .wma
Prevent documents from being copied without password authorization
