Usability Features
Encryption functions are completely transparent
Users send messages as they normally do from their existing desktop or mobile email applications using their existing email address. Messages flagged by central policies automatically encrypt confidential messages.
Send to anyone capabilities
The Gateway can encrypt messages for any email address. Server-side key look-up functionality eliminates the need for users to exchange and manage encryption keys. Recipients with keys receive encrypted messages directly to their inbox; users without keys collect their messages at a secure web site.
Recipients can securely reply
Allows anyone who receives a secure message to reply without installing any software. Encrypted messages destined for internal recipients without keys are decrypted at the Gateway and then forwarded over your internal network.

Strong encryption and authentication
Encrypted Mail Gateway uses standards-based technologies such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), S/MIME and X.509 certificates for sending signed and encrypted messages.
Policy-based security
Encryption happens automatically based on centrally managed policies such as who the message is being sent from, who the recipients are, keywords in the subject or body of the message, and the type of document attached to the message.
