How It Works
End-to-end Email Encryption Process Flow
Encrypted Mail simplifies the experience of sending digitally signed and encrypted messages by relying on transparent key look-up and exchange functions to automatically determine which users are subscribers and which users are not.
To send a message the user composes the message as they normally would and then clicks the "Secure" button which was made available when the client plug-in was installed.
Other subscribers and users with standard S/MIME certificates receive the encrypted message directly to their inbox. Non-subscribers receive a digitally signed notification message with a link to the Message Pickup Center web site.
