Is TLS Good Enough?
On account of its simple user experience, where no actions are required for end users, TLS is a popular method of encrypted communication. But in the instance where TLS is not available, if a TLS connection is not available, for example, additional fallback options ensure a message is successfully and securely delivered to a recipient.
With more literal interpretations of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) taking hold in regions of the EU, like Denmark, for example, encryption is now becoming a mandatory part of any business environment. And, while TLS encrypted communications work in many business settings, an organization needs to ensure they can still operate in these regions in the instance where a TLS connection is not available or not applicable. This is where a flexible encryption solution, like Echoworx’s OneWorld encryption platform, where multiple secure delivery methods are available, is advantageous.
