Biographies of our management team

Michael Ginsberg, Chief Executive Officer

Michael Ginsberg brings 20 years of software experience to his CEO position at Echoworx. As a seasoned operator with a proven track record, he has transformed the company’s vision and product offerings, and is now leading its strategic direction and growth. Ginsberg is known for his passion for business and software innovation and continuously challenges his employees and colleagues to deliver excellence.

Prior to joining Echoworx he was CEO at CertaPay Inc., where he played an instrumental role in enabling consumers to send money securely via email. CertaPay Inc. was purchased by Interac. The top five Canadian Banks still use the CertaPay payment system today. He was also CEO of Bayshore Trust, where he led the development of the first ever online banking application for North America. Earlier in his career, he was Co-founder of Footprint Software which was sold to IBM.

Harry Enchin, Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Harry Enchin is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day operations and leading growth initiatives. Throughout his career as an entrepreneurial builder of information technology companies, Enchin has demonstrated expertise in corporate development, financial and technology integration.

He has a proven track record in establishing and growing successful software businesses from incubation to divestiture. Prior to establishing several technology companies, he served as President and COO of a federally-regulated deposit-taking institution. A key achievement during this tenure there was driving the development and implementation of a world first initiative that brought consumer lending to the Internet.

Tim Collins, Vice President Sales

Tim Collins leads the sales team to success through his strong leadership skills and focus on growing the overall revenue through a variety of channels. In addition to client acquisition, his team is also responsible for supporting and driving sales through partner relationships.

Prior to joining the Echoworx team, Collins had over 12 years experience in technology sales. He spent 9 years at MessageLabs Inc. (Now part of Symantec) where he held senior roles in both Europe and North America, including Country Manager for Canada.

Chris Peel, Vice President Software Development

Chris Peel brings over 25 years of Internet and enterprise technology experience to Echoworx. With his passion for technology he leads the development team.

Prior to Echoworx he held senior roles in software development, professional services and sales and was involved in successful startups such as AudienceView (CRM/Ticketing solution) and Certapay (first ever direct email money transfer system). He began his career with Westinghouse working in airline communications systems.

Kai Cheung, Vice President Architecture

As Vice President of Architecture, Kai Cheung manages our Echoworx Security Suite, Encrypted Mail Exchange and Encrypted Mail Gateway product lines.

Prior to joining the Echoworx team, Cheung had accumulated over 20 years experience in the computer software industry working in ISP billing systems and architecting multi-million dollar systems for the Ontario Public Service.  Recently Cheung was CIO with iGO International Inc., where he led the company’s product architecture for Wireless Incident Management Systems.

Cheung has an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, with a double major in Computer Science, and Combinatorics and Optimization.

Robby Gulri, Vice President Products

Robby Gulri brings over 20 years of technology, management, and strategy experience in the telecommunications, security and internet applications sector. He joined Echoworx as Head of Global Alliances and then moved to Head of Client Services. In his current role as Vice President Products, Gulri is responsible for Echoworx’ product strategy and roadmap to meet market expectations and requirements.

Prior to joining Echoworx he worked in various strategy, sales, and product management positions at companies such as Digex, BellSouth, Yahoo and Portal Software.

Sharon Miller, Vice President Marketing

With her strong leadership skills and focus on communications, Sharon Miller is shaping the marketing efforts for the company.

For the last 15 years she has run a successful marketing and communications consulting business with a focus on technology. She has worked with major corporations including Microsoft, Compaq and Rogers, among others, as well as spent a large amount of time working with young, pre-revenue companies in the technology industry. She began her career working for Delrina and Microsoft Canada.
